Paul Zeltzer receives the ADSA® Foundation Graduate Student Literature Review Award: Dairy Foods Division (MS)

Champaign, IL (June 1, 2023)—The American Dairy Science Association® (ADSA) is pleased to announce Paul Zeltzer as the 2023 recipient of the ADSA Foundation Graduate Student Literature Review Award: Dairy Foods Division (MS). The award will be presented on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, during the awards ceremony at the ADSA Annual Meeting in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

The ADSA Foundation Graduate Student Literature Review Award: Dairy Foods Division (MS) was created to recognize graduate students who have composed in-depth and extensive literature reviews in their thesis or dissertation and allow for these papers to be published in the Journal of Dairy Science® as review papers, making them available as references for citations in original research papers. The winner must be a graduate student (or within six months of graduation) at the time of the article submission to the Journal of Dairy Science. The article must be no more than 30 double-spaced pages, including references and graphs, have no more than 75 references, and be focused on a topic in dairy science.

Paul Zeltzer holds a BS in biosystems engineering with a food concentration and an MS in food safety and toxicology from Michigan State University. He has a professional background in various quality and food safety roles in meat, dairy, and ready-to-eat snack manufacturing operations. He is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist/Registered Sanitarian through the National Environmental Health Association. Zeltzer has volunteered with the United States Agency for International Development’s Farmer-to-Farmer Program and is an active 3-A Sanitary Standards Inc. working group member.
