He is a professor of Animal Science in his 28th year at Michigan State University. Pursley’s current work focuses on understanding and developing strategies to eliminate pregnancy loss following conceptus attachment in lactating dairy cows. The mission of his extension appointment is to enhance the knowledge of dairy producers and veterinarians in Michigan, the United States, and the world in the reproductive management of dairy cows through innovative educational programming based on new knowledge gained through his strategic, practical research.
