Robin White receives the Lallemand Forward Award for Scientific Excellence in Dairy Nutrition

Champaign, IL (June 1, 2023)—The American Dairy Science Association® (ADSA®) is pleased to announce Robin White as the 2023 recipient of the Lallemand Forward Award for Scientific Excellence in Dairy Nutrition. The award will be presented on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, during the awards ceremony at the ADSA Annual Meeting in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

The Lallemand Forward Award for Scientific Excellence in Dairy Nutrition was created to stimulate and recognize outstanding achievement in research, teaching, extension, or industry in applied dairy nutrition by scientists during the first 10 postgraduation years of their professional career.

Robin White earned BS and PhD degrees from the Department of Animal Sciences at Washington State University and completed postdoctoral fellowships with the National Animal Nutrition Program and as an Agriculture and Food Research Initiative–Experiential Learning Initiative Postdoctoral Fellow. White is currently an associate professor of animal systems management and associate director of the Center for Advanced Innovation in Agriculture at Virginia Tech. Her team focuses on improving understanding of ruminant nutrition and leveraging nutrition and technology to enhance sustainability by exploring basic mechanisms governing rumen fermentation, applying models and technologies to enhance feed efficiency, and characterizing strategies to enhance food system sustainability.

It is with great pleasure that ADSA and Lallemand Animal Nutrition present Robin White with the 2023 Lallemand Forward Award for Scientific Excellence in Dairy Nutrition.
