In 2019, he received his BS in animal science from Iowa State University. His current research focuses on transition cow nutrition, management, and epidemiology, with a particular focus on identifying factors associated with colostrum production. More broadly, his research interests include understanding practical nutritional and management strategies to improve the health and productivity of neonatal and periparturient animals.

It is with great pleasure that ADSA and the Alltech Biotechnology Center present Trent Westhoff with the 2023 Alltech Inc. Graduate Student Paper Publication Award.
