Champaign, IL (June 7, 2024)—The American Dairy Science Association (ADSA®) is pleased to announce Bill Graves as the 2024 recipient of the ADSA Distinguished Service Award. The award will be presented on Sunday, June 16, 2024, during the opening session at the ADSA Annual Meeting in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The ADSA Distinguished Service Award was created to recognize unusually outstanding and consistent contributions to the welfare of the dairy industry, either directly or indirectly. The award is based on a broad, even nonscientific, contribution. Thus, outstanding achievements by those in industry, public administration, or academic administration shall qualify. The contribution may be national or international. The ADSA Distinguished Service Award is not for ADSA accomplishments. The winner must have fulfilled as of January 1 of the year of the award the contributions to the welfare of the dairy industry for which they are to be recognized, must be living when nominated, and need not be a member of ADSA.

Bill Graves has been senior vice president of Product Research at Dairy Management Inc. for more than 14 years, working on behalf of America’s dairy farm families to catalyze dairy innovation and education. With 40-plus years of industry experience, Graves spearheads innovative product research initiatives, nurturing future dairy leaders, and propelling industry growth. A Cornell University BS graduate in food science, Graves earned his MS from Rutgers University and his MBA in management from New York University. His contributions to the dairy industry’s growth and leadership development are exemplified by his advisory roles at various universities.

It is with great pleasure that ADSA presents Bill Graves with the 2024 ADSA Distinguished Service Award.
