David Renaud receives the Lallemand Forward Award for Scientific Excellence in Dairy Nutrition

Champaign, IL (June 7, 2024)—The American Dairy Science Association® (ADSA®) is pleased to announce David Renaud as the 2024 recipient of the Lallemand Forward Award for Scientific Excellence in Dairy Nutrition. The award will be presented on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, during the awards ceremony at the ADSA Annual Meeting in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The Lallemand Forward Award for Scientific Excellence in Dairy Nutrition was created to stimulate and recognize outstanding achievement in research, teaching, extension, or industry in applied dairy nutrition by scientists during the first 10 postgraduation years of their professional career.

David Renaud, BSc, DVM, PhD, is an associate professor at the University of Guelph. He received his DVM from the Ontario Veterinary College and a PhD in epidemiology from the Department of Population Medicine at the University of Guelph. His research focuses on identifying factors associated with improving cattle health, specifically in calves, and evaluating alternative management strategies to reduce antimicrobial use. Renaud is also a practicing veterinarian working with dairy producers and calf raisers around the Guelph area.

It is with great pleasure that ADSA and Lallemand Animal Nutrition present David Renaud with the 2024 Lallemand Forward Award for Scientific Excellence in Dairy Nutrition.
